Webinar Goal #7 Tools for creating and submitting multimedia assignments - Next Page - Goal 8 One of my favorite tools for letting students (and faculty) stretch their creativity muscles is ToonDoo. The first example is from a customer service class where the faculty member (co-created with Kim Goudy of Central Ohio Technical College) creates the first frame of the customer service example and each student completes the second frame (the response) as their assignment. Students can then embed their toon into a course wiki or inside a threaded discussion forum.
Creating multiple Toondoo panels allows you to put them together into a little comic book, flip-book style. Here's an example. Click the image to see the book.

Another example of using a Web 2.0 tool is a creative way would be to use Zoho Notebook for the first-week class introductions. Zoho Notebook has very granular permissions built in, allowing you to share an entire notebook with other authors, or only certain pages, or even only certain objects on certain pages of the notebook. In this example, you can replace the tired old discussion forum posting "Introduce yourself to the class" with something like this.
Here is a 6-minute screencast tutorial that will demonstrate to students how to complete the assignment:
