Webinar Goal #5
Make screencast demonstrations to explain new tools to students - Next Page - Goal 6
Do you complain about spending too much time teaching the technology to the students when that's NOT your course content? Put together a few simple screencast tutorials and you'll find that the students can take it from there.
For example, if you are going to assign a Toondoo creation assignment to your students (such as their first week introduction to the class), then you could embed a video tutorial such as this one (click here or on the image to view screencast):

There are many free web-based tools to choose from. The example above is made at Screentoaster.
- Screencastle
- Screencast-o-matic
- ScreenToaster
- Screenjelly
- Screencast dot com (use with TechSmith/Jing)
Along with the web-based tools above, there are also free software solutions that are downloadable (these will live on your computer):
- CamStudio
- Jing
Also see Goal #7 for another example of a screencast tutorial that could be used to explain a new technology to the students.
